You quote Hebrew 13:17 but lesser these verses?
Quote:
Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

1Cor 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

It is useless to use Hebrew 13:17 if it is not God's conformed to other God's commandment.

Shall we follow the leaders who commit idolatry?

Does God really want us to obey the leaders than Himself?

I show you Deut 13 to declare the teaching and allowance of teaching to commit idolatry are so serious in God's sight. If you see from these verses, anyone can stone those who committed.

Does God want the church full of the submission to authority but commit to idolatry?

Or He wants His church to be purified and love him whole-heartedly.

My interpretation from His words is so simple.
Quote:
Matt 22:37-39
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Love God first.

Secondly, You refer to Jdg 21:25.

Do I commit like that? What do I interpret the Words of God unfaithfully?

For me, simply is the best.

I am very disappointed with Ps Stephen’s comments. I am certainly glad that I am not a member of Hope Perth. It is precisely because of the lack of accountability of Ps PN and Dr J that they managed to get away with their wrongdoings for years. And I don’t understand why any of us with brains can’t query their integrity and demand that they are being held accountable for their actions because they are expected to live up to God’s standard and not let God’s name be mocked.

Why is it that these 2 big shots are allowed to get away with their bad behaviours even though evidences are overwhelmingly pointing towards their mistakes? How can Ps Stephen as a pastor be misled in this area? Has he thought about the feelings of Sister Sunnee, let alone the women that Ps PN had affairs with? I really feel so sorry for Sis Sunnee. This is not about revenge for what Ps PN did to his wife but he must make it right and be accountable for his actions. With leadership and position come responsibilities and accountability. I am pretty sure that these were taught in our Shepherding 101 lessons, Ps Stephen!!!

I must say that I salute Sister Rubina and Ps PK and many other pastors who had the guts to stand up and made Ps PN and Dr J accountable for what they did. I am disappointed that certain inner circle leader/s who must have known what was going on for years, didn’t have the guts to act accordingly sooner and I believe that has cost the movement dearly. Perhaps it wasn’t the timing of God, perhaps God was waiting for certain leaders to speak out sooner but it didn’t happen and He resorted to use Sister Rubina. I shudder to think what would have happened to the movement if it continues to be led by unrepentant leaders. But praise the Lord that He is a holy God who will not be mocked and He will not allow that to happen.

Romans 8:28, “And we know that for those who love God, that is, for those who are called according to his purpose, all things are working together for good.”

I certainly believe that because God has allowed the sins of the leaders to be exposed, He will therefore cleanse the church and use this period of time to separate the goats from the sheep - that is to separate the goats from those who love God and who are called according to His purpose, so that God’s favour will once again fall upon His church. And God would also show Himself to His people like never before, so that His house will be filled with His glory and His glory alone. Amen.

Yes unfortunately, i think its because of the way the system is run in Thailand.

Assembly of God is based on pularity of leaders. But in hope because we are always under Dr.J who is the founder, it is hard to voice out as they is no one higher in authority.

Even though there maybe leaders and elders in principle but in reality, they do no have that much say compared to PN and Dr.J

I suppose it becomes very difficult especially when the highest leaders do no live up to the standard of God. Where do we go from there?

Most thais not all from my understanding, are suppose to obey leaders with absolute obedience and are not suppose to question them.

There is stories of previous leaders being excommunicatred because they ask question of certain practice.

Full obedience without questions, and if you object, you will be excommunicated. Doesn't that sound like a cultish movement? shivers.... :((

In a sense, yes. A recent update is that in Ps PN Church they have been preaching on Obedience and Submission to authority.

Ps PN have been going around other Hope Churches to try and gather support.

My friend from Hope Chiangmai was very upset because Her pastor wanted to stay neutral but PN say that he has the highest authority and PN wants him to step so he can run Hope Chiangmai.

Apparent her pastor is very stress over this.

Why is Ps PN wanting to take over Chiengmai? Is it because Hope Chiengmai is one of the largest church in Thailand other than Bangkok?

Yes, I believe so, I think Hope Chiangmai and a handfulof churches actually owns their own building as well.

With the split, PN needs resources to fund the church staff and activities.

But from a source, PN has managed to gather some people to split from Chinagmai because the Pastor in Chiangmai wanted to remain neutral

There is also alot of pastor that have resigned and their region is split.

There is 3 camps currently - PN , Foundation and Neutral ( who woudl start their own church)

this is a sad day for Hope.

Indeed wat Man builds cannot outlast the buildings of God

"Indeed wat Man builds cannot outlast the buildings of God"

Indeed. Very wise words. No man's plans/schemes can stop the kingdom of God.

Yes, where men built, it will not last. But if God built it will.
