Hope of God

This site is open for people who like to know more of the happening in Hope of God Bangkok. And the happenings in the country where Hope church has more than 3000 churches in Thailand.

As alot of the discussions in the bible discuss forums are in thai, i would try my best to get translations so that we can all get a better picture.

As I know many of us seem to think that whatever happen in Thailand has no relation to people around the Hope churches, then its not true. Being in Hope for almost 20 years, it has truly sadden me that the highest leadership in Thailand have resort to splitting the church.

One of the things that makes me sad is that i hear alot of discussion in the bible chat room that what members should and should not do. But no one ever mention how the LEADERS of God should actually behave. And that whatever PN and Dr J did was in fact firstly illegal by law and sinful in the eyes of God

The word submission and authority is being thrown around but never once was the leaders conduct ever mention. In case we forget that leaders are SUPPOSED to lead a more righteous life that leaders SHOULD be more accountable.

We can debate how Rubina handles the issue and DISCUSSED about authority, process and submission. Yes it can probably be handled better, BUT we cannot detract of the issue that what the top leaders did were wrong and they have not shown repentant heart.

This is a question for all to decide:

1. WHY THE DOUBLE STANDARD ? WHY DO WE TEACH MEMBERS TO BE SUMISSIVE AND ACCOUNTABLE IN OUR LIFES WHEN THE LEADERS CAN DO WHATEVER THEY WANT AND ITS MEANT FOR GOD ? HOW DO YOU SUBMIT TO UNGODLY LEADERS ?

2. WHY IS IT THAT WHEN PS PN COMMITT ADULTERY, HE ONLY ASK FORGIVENESS FROM DR.J BUT DID NOT STEP BEFORE THE CHURCH. DONT WE KNOW BLESSING FLOWS TOP DOWN. HIS UNWILLINGNESS TO STEP DOWN IS A SIGN THE REPENTANCE IS ONLY AN ACT ? HOW IN THE WORLD CAN HE PREACH WITHOUT RESTORATION. WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER WOMAN ? WHAT ABOUT HIS WIFE ? DON'T WE NEED TO MAKE SURE PROPER RESTORATION

3. WE TALK ABOUT HOLINESS, RIGHTEOUSNESS, TRANSPARENCY, YET WE HIDE SINS THAT AFFECT THE MOVEMENT. ISN'T IT TRUE THAT ONCE THE TREE IS CORRUPT SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ?
