This information might have been lost somewhere in all the information from biblediscuss. But as i was reading the papers yesterday and there was a news about Mr Mugabe. I remember about the post from Channi....
It seems that Dr.J is a Mugabe representative in Thailand and in fact one of his aide in his party was being blacklisted by the USA ( read one of the post ).
I don't know much about Dr.J's political party make-up and what is his political ambition but, if he were to be prime minister, i am sure Zimbabwe will be his closest ally.
If anyone knows some other details and what his party stands for maybe can you comment

Professor Kriengsak Chareonwongsak and ex-pastor
Does his resume remind you of anyone in the bible ? Does Solomon ring a bell ? He was very wise, very smart. But in the end he gained the whole world but lost favour with God. This was our dear founder who started Hope Church and ran the church behind the scene since 1997 as an Advisor in the movement. Scary isn't it, a man who would not allow his stuff to have any christian sharing or christian items in his office, who would ask his staff who are christian to attend temple ritual for him . A man who openly denounce knowing our church, BUT uses our money to fund his ambition.
If he truly wants to change Thailand, he should use his OWN money not money from the church he openly deny knowing.

Professor Kriengsak Chareonwongsak is President of the Institute of Future Studies for Development in Thailand and Chairman of Success Group of Companies in Thailand. He is a Visiting Fellow of the Oxford Internet Institute conducting research on Internet Filtering in Thailand. He is also a Senior Fellow at Harvard University's Center of Business and Government and an Associate, Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, Harvard University. Professor Kriengsak has taught at universities overseas and in Thailand on economics, public policy and development issues. His academic analyses and proposals are popularly read, having been published in 150 books for public readership and in over 3000 articles on a variety of topics, with his perspectives often highlighted in interviews carried by a wide variety of media sources in Thailand and overseas. He has presented over 200 academic papers at international conferences, and has given over 2200 lectures in fifty countries.
Professor Kriengsak obtained first class honors and a PhD in Economics from Monash University, Australia, 1981 and a Masters of Public Administration from Harvard University. He is a Research Professor at Regent University, USA and an Adjunct Professor at many universities both in Thailand and overseas. Prior to Thailand's recent parliamentary dissolution, Professor Kriengsak was an elected Member of Parliament. Currently he is on the Executive Board of the Democrat Party, Thailand, having also held fifty positions as an active participant in various organizations and committees at national level. He was a member of Thailand's National Committee for International Economic Policy. He was also Chairman of the Education, Religion, Arts and Culture Commission, Vice Chairman of the Economic, Commerce and Industry Commission of the National Economic and Social Advisory Council, and Advisor to the Senate Foreign Affairs Commission and Privatization Commission.

Here is a very old link from 1990, when Hope Church was still only 7 years old and Dr.J was then the pastor of Hope of Bangkok Church. In around the late 90s he stepped aside to allow Ps PN to lead.

Dr J's Party make up
Here is a press release recently from The US department of Secretary . Guess what Nalinee Joy Taveesin, a Thai businesswoman, this lady is actually realated to Dr J and is also his Secretary of the pary he recently formed.
In fact Dr J is a representative of Mugabe in thailand, so if Dr.J was ever elected guess who will be on chumy terms with the man many regard as an absolute tyrant and dictator ?
Would you vote this him ? No wonder God has never favoured him in politics. Its up to us to open our eyes.

Treasury Designates Mugabe Regime Cronies
Washington, DC--The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) today designated four Mugabe regime cronies and a number of entities owned or controlled by two of them. The financial and logistical support they have provided to the regime has enabled Robert Mugabe to pursue policies that seriously undermine democratic processes and institutions in Zimbabwe.
"The Mugabe regime continues to resist the call of the Zimbabwean people to loosen its corrupt and violent hold on power," said OFAC Director Adam J. Szubin. "The United States supports the people of Zimbabwe in their struggle to achieve a political and economic system built on fairness and transparency rather than patronage and self-dealing."
Today's designations include John Bredenkamp, a well-known Mugabe insider involved in various business activities, including tobacco trading, gray-market arms trading and trafficking, equity investments, oil distribution, tourism, sports management, and diamond extraction. Through a sophisticated web of companies, Bredenkamp has financially propped up the regime and provided other support to a number of its high-ranking officials. He also has financed and provided logistical support to a number of Zimbabwean parastatal entities.
The following entities owned or controlled by John Bredenkamp also are designated: Alpha International (Private) Ltd., Breco (Asia Pacific) Ltd., Breco (Eastern Europe) Ltd., Breco (South Africa) Ltd., Breco (U.K.) Ltd., Breco Group, Breco International, Breco Nominees Ltd., Breco Services Ltd., Corybantes Ltd., Echo Delta Holdings Ltd., Kababankola Mining Company, Masters International Ltd., Masters International, Inc., Piedmont (UK) Limited, Raceview Enterprises, Scottlee Holdings (Pvt) Ltd., Scottlee Resorts, Timpani Ltd., and Tremalt Ltd.
Also designated today is Muller Conrad Rautenbach (a.k.a. Billy Rautenbach). Billy Rautenbach is a Zimbabwean businessman who has maintained close relations with the Mugabe regime. He has provided support to senior regime officials during Zimbabwe's intervention in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and also provided logistical support for large-scale mining projects in Zimbabwe that benefit a small number of corrupt senior officials there. Today's designations include an entity owned and controlled by Billy Rautenbach, Ridgepoint Overseas Developments Limited.
In addition, OFAC is designating Nalinee Joy Taveesin, a Thai businesswoman who has facilitated a number of financial, real-estate, and gem-related transactions on behalf of Grace Mugabe, Gideon Gono, and a number of other Zimbabwean Specially Designated Nationals (SDNs). Ironically, Nalinee Taveesin has participated in a number of initiatives on corruption and growth challenges in Africa and Southeast Asia while secretly supporting the kleptocratic practices of one of Africa's most corrupt regimes.
Finally, OFAC is designating Mahmood Awang Kechik, a Malaysian urologist and one of Robert Mugabe's physicians and business advisors. Kechik has used his medical practice to conceal the ultimate destination of medical equipment shipped to Zimbabwe, and he has transacted secretly with a number of SDNs, including Gideon Gono and Constantine Chiwenga, to generate wealth for these regime officials and the Government of Zimbabwe.
Today's action was taken pursuant to Executive Order 13469, which targets, among others, individuals and entities who provide financial and other support to the Government of Zimbabwe and Zimbabwean SDNs. As a result of Treasury's action, any assets of the individuals and entities designated today that are within U.S. jurisdiction must be frozen. Additionally, U.S. persons are prohibited from conducting financial or commercial transactions with these individuals or entities.

The Truth about Dr Kriengsak
Believe or not, i actually kept an article by Charisma Magazine way back in 1990s. Almost a decade, it sat in one of my archive boxes which I once held proudly but now am not so sure.
The TRUTH is Dr Joseph C. Wongsak is that He WAS a christian, who once founded Hope Churches. There is no denying the fact to what may be contrary in his wikipedia. He purportedly tries to deny it and will tell you otherwise. I have videos of his teachings and also the book Apostle of Hope, so there is no denying. Unfortunately, i cannot put the whole book on, but at least the Article gives you some hindsight of Dr J's past.

At present, I respect the Bible and it might be said that I am Christian. But, in
fact, I would like to explain that I respect all kinds of truth, no matter they appeared in
any religion. I am not certain if there was any article cited that I converted to Christianity
because I had received a vision from God; I never saw that article.

Apart from W.F.C., I have ever been to other churches which I cannot
remember. I didn’t attend W.F.C. service every Sunday; to my memory, I often
attended. I rarely attended W.F.C. meeting…(I just joined the worship service.)
I know Mr. Kevin J. Conner and Mr. Richard J. Holland. Both of them are
Christian. For Mr. Richard J. Holland, I have known him since I was in Australia. I
sometimes listened to Mr. Richard’s preaching at the church. For Mr. Kevin J.
Conner, I met him once or twice, but I was not accustomed to him. I met him when I
was in Australia - when I attended the worship service; we met each other among the
church congregation.

Term ‘HOPE’ is in the Bible. But I do not know, I cannot remember if the
church was inspired by the word ‘HOPE’, which is found in the Bible to name the
church. It is a procedure of the church.

(written) that “on the 30th of July, 1981, those who had heart to start/found Hope of
Bangkok Church led by Dr. Kriengsak started a prayer meeting, seeking for God’s
guidance to start the church” - I am not certain whether the statement is true because I
am not the writer.

My international friends or persons I know never called me ‘Joseph’; I do not
have another name as ‘Joseph’ (I am not called ‘Joseph’.)

page. I am not certain if I know Peter Wagner; as for Richard Holland, I had ever

The money that I had to pay back to the government as I early retired from the
university (left before the due), my father was responsible for that amount. None of
Hope of Bangkok members sacrificed or participated (supported me) in this matter.

Why Dr J left the democratic party
Kriengsak resigns from Democrat party
(BangkokPost.com) - Democrat party executive Kriengsak Charoenwongsak announced on Thursday that he has decided to resign from the party because he didn't get what he wanted for the coming election.
Dr Kriengsak, who has been with the party for 27 years, said with tears that he planned to sue party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva at the Criminal Court.
Dr Kriengsak said he has lost confidence in Mr Abhisit, claiming the leader was "unfair" and "good at building his own image."
The resignation came after Mr Abhisit didn�t allow Dr Kriengsak contest the eastern Bangkok constituency covering Phra Khanong, Bangna, Praves and Suan Luang districts, even though Dr Kriengsak claimed he had received previous approval by Mr Abhisit.
I have been wondering for awhile now and i finally got the answer on biblediscuss. Dr Dan as he is called actually asked Hope people to help in the elections and register in his electorate, there was a also issues with finance and funding for the election. So that is why i believe he was not allowed to join the last election as there was too much controversy.
