Dr J to reconcile ?

I still hear in the background that Dr.J is hoping still for a reconciliation with HGI and have asked HGI not to touch Thailand Hope churches which are neutral.

I am not too sure what would be our stand, but i think we should not allow Dr.J to join back HGI and influence the HGI movement.

Also HGI have changed our name to HIM. I think it will take another 6 more months to finally resolve and iron out HIM movement goals, plans and future.

Thats all for now...

Hey there,

I've been a long time reader of your blog, as it keeps me up to date on what is happening concerning the recent church shake up.

What type of reconciliation does Dr. J hope for? I guess the church has its prerogative to forgive him, but I dunno, it seems like a bit of a power grab to me, especially in light of the recent political situation in Thailand. To that end though, I really should lay off the tin foil hat.

If it's true, he's just taking an educated guess that we are all good christians and will forgive him. Of course he will very likely continue his old ways, perhaps a bit more discreetly.

He must repent and publicly admit is really is a Christian. If he can't do that, he's not a christian and certainly can't lead a church.

Hi,

this is not too sure. I am sure He hopes that HIM and the New Hope Bangkok can be together... but I do think it will not be good.

I am not too sure if we will in the future. No one has really said anything.

And i think sometimes when you are a top leader its hard to too. What would you do if Dr.J do ask.

As Christian what should we do ?

Anyway, the only to know is to make sure we keep checking to make sure this does not happen

We should forgive him as Christ taught us that our forgiveness should be unconditional.

However forgiving him does not mean we allow him to immediately lead again. I believe that would require a different process altogether to restore him slowly and carefully back to a leadership role.

Dr J trying for reconcilliation? Church splitts never please God and any initiative for reconcilliation and restoration of church leaders after they have sinned is a stroke in the face of satan. However, if the motive is merely a retaining of power and influence, then one has to consider. Secondly: it is not just a moral issue which was the transgression. There is still the investigation into embezzlements of church funds. Is there going to be any restitution on this part?
